Activity trackers are the hottest trend in fitness these days. You can clip them to your belt, arm, or even clothing, and some can be easily stored in a pocket. The pocket activity tracker might be the best solution to prevent a foreign material risk in your facility.
Keep in mind, it is the facility’s responsibility to do the risk assessment. You must take into account that the parts could become a foreign material hazard if broken, including the screen or clasp if worn on the wrist. If the risk assessment determines that there is too much risk for foreign material in the product because of where and how they are worn, then this should be documented in your GMP policy. Any exceptions that allow the wearing of these devices should also be documented.
